NPL WORKSHOP
This year, the students of our school chose to go on an excursion to beautiful Zlatibor. Mount Zlatibor, known for its beauty and most beautiful during the vegetation period, provided us with enjoyment of wonderful sunny days and fresh air that was very welcome after the suffocating Belgrade smog during the period when we visited it. Accommodated in a magnificent hotel characteristic for its culinary specialties and the skills of its chefs, we were hosted by professional staff and the hotel owner who, with the understanding of a true host, enhanced our stay. Through daily kilometer-long marches, we overcame all obstacles of urban laziness, hiking to the peaks of Tornik and the beautiful landscapes of Zlatar throughout all the days of our stay.
Having visited Spasića Cave, magnificent waterfalls, and the Ethno Village Sirogojno, the students not only enjoyed themselves but also learned history and culture, connected geographical and physical concepts, and with songs echoing around, they let their youthful spirit flow in creative relaxation, proving that knowledge is indeed a natural feeling of our mind. They broke down paradigms about teachers and principals being strict, instead seeing them as caring and fair daily parts of their lives who change their habits for the better, for their own sake.
It was beautiful and useful, and we will surely repeat it in some other exploration of the regions of our rich country Serbia, which we can only love if we get to know how beautiful it is and full of history, how unique and special it is because we live in it.
