Lecture on “Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Reproductive Health of Young People”

For final year students, a lecture was organized on the topic “Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Reproductive Health of Young People”, so that students could connect the knowledge they acquire from subjects such as biology or physical and health education with the experiences and recommendations of experts in the field of medicine.

We had the honor of hosting a lecturer from the Military Medical Academy, with many years of experience in prevention and education of children, young people and employees within various institutions. It is very important that we talk to children on this topic, in order to help them form healthy lifestyles, hygiene habits and general health care.

We must familiarize students in detail with the causes of sexually transmitted diseases, methods of transmission, symptoms, and procedures in case certain symptoms appear so that the infection can be treated on time and the spread stopped, thus preserving reproductive health. Students asked questions and showed interest during the lecture, as the lecture itself was designed so that they receive information that is adapted to their age and developmental needs.

The evaluation of the lecture by the students showed that the students rated the information received as extremely useful, and the lecturer as competent for the given topic.
