The Words of those who Have Met Us Speak Best about Us.

My name is Doroteja Joksovic. I am a professional tennis player. I love to train and live a healthy life every day. I believe that people should engage in sports more, especially younger generations, because it makes you healthier, more energetic and fulfilled. Tennis gives me such an opportunity to meet new people, cultures, landmarks, cities, countries... I chose the private high school Milena Pavlovic Barili because it gives me the opportunity for online learning and acquiring practical knowledge. Due to frequent long trips, the teachers at this school have great understanding for me and my sports commitments.

My name is Andrija Kapetanović. Studying history is my passion, as well as observing human past from various perspectives – religion, economics, politics... Besides that, I am very interested in languages and other cultures. I think it is especially important today to see what perspective other people have on problems, so we can successfully solve ours. In this, we should not neglect the broader picture that thirty centuries of written human history gives us.

Ognjen Miculović, a successful athlete who is one of the most talented young prospects in basketball. Due to his sports needs, he chose to enroll in our school to balance his club commitments while achieving results in education. He attends first grade of high school and trains at the Belgrade basketball club Beovuk 72.

"My name is Olga Dević. I am a third-year student at the Private High School 'Milena Pavlović Barili'. Besides high school, I also attend Music High School, majoring in music production. Outside of classes, I am very active in the youth sector, I am the youngest member of the Board of Directors of the Umbrella Organization of Youth of Serbia. Also, I am a member of several youth organizations operating at local, national and European levels, part of many projects dealing with youth and children, organizer and moderator of many events, participant in many conferences, summits and trainings in the field of youth, peer educator, volunteer at festivals and other events for children and youth and much more. Also, for seven years I was a member of the children's choir 'Kolibri', and I currently sing in the Children's Choir of Radio Television of Serbia.
This school has given me the opportunity to dedicate myself to extracurricular activities, another school, while simultaneously acquiring quality high school education.
I believe this school is ideal for you if you are quite engaged outside of school, whether you do similar things as I do, sports or something else, simply as a student of this school you will have the opportunity not to give up on your extracurricular activities, to dedicate yourself to them more seriously and continue your formal education without obstacles.

Marija Raković is a third-year student who has shown her interest in psychology during her schooling. She was in Petnica several times during the school year where she participated in many projects and showed enviable knowledge of the subject that exceeds the scope of high school.
When I finished eighth grade, thanks to excellent success and excellent results on the final test, I could enroll in any high school I wanted. My parents decided on Barili, because due to a serious injury I was facing a long rehabilitation, so they thought that the administration of the private high school would be more flexible and have more understanding. Fortunately, I recovered quickly, and there were no major absences from school, and I realized that we made the right choice.
My school suits me for several reasons – mostly because I feel I have an open space to engage in things that really interest me. For example, I'm not really a math lover, I get an A with great work and effort, and the possibility of additional mentoring work with teachers helps me a lot there. On the other hand, I love most social sciences and languages, and I'm very good at that. At the suggestion of the psychology teacher, I applied to participate in a psycholinguistics project at the Petnica Science Research Center and – I was accepted! So far I have been to Petnica twice for seven to ten days each, and it was fantastic! We slept little and worked a lot, we had fantastic lectures and workshops. They allowed me to write my work in English, which is both enjoyment and challenge for me. Actually, I have been writing stories in English for several years now, and I have already published fifty-four on the Fun-Fiction website, where I have many reviews and people who follow my work.
I actually study quite a lot because I'm used to it, and I need to be maximally prepared for classes. That's my nature. So, I study as if I were in a good state high school, just with less stress. I also have several wonderful hobbies that are very important to me, and I'm really glad that the school supports me in pursuing them. I am a member of the 'Belgrade English Language Theatre', a theater group of young people who perform plays in English, under the direction of Dr. Paul Murray, a director from England. Last year we performed at an international youth theater festival in Ancona, Italy, and this year we went to Bath in England, where we were guests of the Royal Bath Theatre, i.e. their youth section called The Egg Theatre. It was wonderful! We made many new friends.
The school has also enabled me to engage in humanitarian work in my free time, so I am a volunteer with the Municipality of Stari Grad, where I most often help when it comes to people with special needs. I also volunteered at an international film festival that deals with films addressing themes related to the lives and problems of people with special needs. It was a fantastic experience, and during that festival I also conducted a survey among visitors that I designed myself, and which I included in my research work at Petnica.
I also do diving – so far I have dives to 18.5 m. Besides that, I also go horseback riding. In my free time I intensively study Norwegian.
I also love design, and for now I make sketches and create jewelry myself from copper and silver-plated wires, and pearls.
None of this would be possible without my school, dedicated teachers and the great flexibility and understanding they have for their students.

Luka played in the position of young right-back for Brodarac, then was transferred to the senior and then to the first team.
