InnoSchool PROJECT
Within the InnoSchool project, our school has applied to participate in piloting an innovative learning system during the upcoming year. The introduction of the innovative system enables the promotion of entrepreneurial spirit and social innovations among high school students. The high school age of 16 and 17 years is considered a key period for additional motivation and development of young people’s interests with the goal of influencing their future career and life decisions. The InnoSchool project addresses the need for introducing systemic changes that are necessary for strengthening entrepreneurial culture and increased engagement of young people in the field of social innovations and entrepreneurship. The InnoSchool Learning System (ILS) is a new learning system being developed within the project to promote social innovations and entrepreneurial spirit among high school students. ILS represents a combination of traditional classroom teaching and the application of digital interactive tools (serious games) for online simulation of social innovations and entrepreneurship. The serious game is combined with lectures, guidance and reflective sessions conducted by teachers for greater impact on education through the experiential learning process. The game also integrates social networks and inter-school competition to increase the attractiveness of the learning process for students. The InnoSchool project is funded by European Union resources (ERDF, IPA, ENI).
At the beginning of December last year, our students, accompanied by biology teacher Ljiljana Vidaković, visited the European Entrepreneurship Week as part of their inclusion in the Innoschool project. The European Entrepreneurship Week was held at Kombank Hall, and this year it was titled “Meetup Startup”. The goal of its implementation was to present successful entrepreneurial stories that used financial and non-financial support mechanisms at the national and regional level. After the presentations, students participated in the workshop “Youth and Entrepreneurship” and took part in debates and exchanges of experiences, views and opinions.
